Our counseling program is available to all students. Counseling services include individual and small group counseling, classroom guidance lessons, parent and teacher consultation, and coordinating the guidance curriculum.  The School Counselor helps to remove barriers that interfere with learning.

The mission of Ashe County School's Elementary Counseling Program is to provide a comprehensive guidance program that celebrates individual uniqueness and multicultural diversity and to assist all students in acquiring the skills, knowledge, and attitudes needed to become effective students, responsible citizens, productive workers, and lifelong learners.
